Hempel hosted their 4th Annual Trinidad Corrosion School on Friday, May 16, 2025 at Cara Hotels and Epic Maintenance in Claxton Bay. The event attracted a strong turnout of industry professionals, including engineers, technical experts, and fabric maintenance contractors from the corrosion and protective coatings sectors.

This year’s seminar centered on the theme “Surface Preparation and Coating Failures”, providing attendees with valuable insights into current best practices, innovations, and understanding why coatings may fail. Through technical presentations and live, interactive demonstrations, the Corrosion School reinforced Hempel’s commitment to advancing knowledge and expertise in corrosion control.

Presentations were facilitated by James A. Lawson, Hempel’s Global Key Account Manager for Bp; Pete Mitchell, Vice President of New Market Development and Technical Management, GMA Garnet; and Matt Valentine, Vice President of Sales, Corrosion Innovations.
