Our story begins in 1950 where Rosco Procom, formerly English Drilling Equipment Company Limited (Edeco) was founded. In those early days, the potential to form a local business around the distribution of oilfield equipment and supplies was recognized since most oil companies imported their equipment directly. As such, Edeco became very successful and grew rapidly to become a leading supplier, representing many quality manufacturers. Thirty-four years later, during the oilfield slow down, Edeco was changed to Rosco Sales Limited. In 1995, Walter Bernard along with Agostini Limited, purchased Rosco Sales Limited and it became a subsidiary of the Agostini Group of Companies.
In looking for ways to expand, Rosco Sales Limited acquired 100% shares of Petroavance Trinidad Limited in 2000. In 2005, both Rosco Sales Limited and Petroavance Trinidad Limited merged, and the company’s name was changed to Rosco Petroavance Limited. Over the years, Rosco Petroavance Ltd expanded and diversified into other sectors such as Manufacturing, Construction, Automotive and Marine. Each of these sectors required specific products, equipment, and specialized personnel. As such, the company operated across seven main divisions – Oilfield Equipment, Rig Spares, Valves, Hydraulics, Safety and Lubricants, which were further supported by a general Service division.
